Information We Collect
We collect information you provide during signup and use of the service, including your name, phone number, email address, language goals, level, timezone, preferred call window, consent choices, subscription status, and support requests.
When you take a tutoring call, we may process call metadata, lesson progress, short transcripts, corrections, pronunciation assessment snippets, recap content, and message delivery events. We do not need full-call pronunciation scoring for the MVP and limit pronunciation assessment to targeted utterances.
How We Use Information
We use information to create your account, schedule tutoring calls, disclose that the tutor is AI-powered, deliver AI voice lessons, score targeted pronunciation practice, personalize lessons, send opted-in reminders and follow-ups, process payments, prevent abuse, and provide support.
We do not use tutoring calls or SMS opt-in data to send sales or upsell messages unless you separately consent to that type of communication.
Phone, SMS, WhatsApp, and Consent Data
Cuéntame sends messages only to users who explicitly opt in. Message types include tutor-call confirmations, reminders, missed-call recovery, streak nudges, account notices, and learning follow-ups.
You can reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS messages and HELP for help. You can also contact support@cuentame.ai. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
We do not sell or share SMS opt-in status, phone numbers, or consent records with third parties for their own marketing.
Service Providers
We use service providers to operate Cuéntame, including telephony and messaging providers, AI model providers, speech assessment providers, hosting and database providers, payment processors, analytics, security, and support tools. These providers process information only as needed to provide services to Cuéntame.
Current MVP providers include Twilio for calls and messaging, OpenAI for live AI tutoring, Azure Speech for targeted pronunciation assessment, Supabase/Postgres for core data, Redis/BullMQ for scheduling jobs, Stripe for payments, and Cloudflare for these public pages and security.
Retention and Deletion
We keep account and consent records while your account is active and as needed for legal, billing, security, and compliance purposes. We keep lesson history, compact transcripts, scoring results, and recaps only as needed to provide and improve your tutoring experience.
You may request access, correction, deletion, or account closure by emailing support@cuentame.ai. We may retain limited records when required for fraud prevention, billing, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or consent verification.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet or telecommunications service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Cuéntame is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date above shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
